HALLOWEEN 2015

THE END OF AN ERA.

We were pretty focused on our daughter Logan’s costume in 2015, because we knew it would be her last year trick-or-treating. That meant simple experiments in the yard. We created floating ghosts as a family project, which was a perfect activity for us all to participate in. A fun year, but wistful… No more trick-or-treating for Logan after this. SIGH!

THE HAUNT

We added some floating ghosts to the mix, more skeletons, and tried some different lighting. Simple upgrades for our second year.

OUR DAUGHTER’S FINAL TRICK-OR-TREAT COSTUME (NOSTALGIC SIGH)

BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN

Is there anything cooler than the gorgeous Elsa Lanchester as The Bride in the 1935 über-sequel “Bride of Frankenstein”? SO iconic. Logan was excited to recreate the image of The Bride and we were thrilled to try. That’s not a wig! We used her own hair, sprayed and pulled back onto a cut 2-liter bottle. Her makeup was simple and a slight deviation, but added to the overall effect. In all, perhaps her most effective Halloween costume. We miss being able to create her costume with her!
