BEGINNING IN EARNEST.
This was the year I consider the first true “project year.” They are simple, modest effects, but they did bring some much needed drama to the haunt. More importantly, they brought some additional confidence for me to take on more in future years.

THE HAUNT
With Logan no longer trick-or-treating, I began to take on some slightly more complex yard projects. Stone-look planters and a zombie portal to hell were added. They definitely added to the drama and overall effect.

ACL ZOMBIE BALL WITH MORRIS DAY AND THE TIME, PLUS THE SUFFERS
My wife and I attended the 8th Annual Zombie Ball at the famous Moody Theater, filming location for Austin City Limits. 80s legends Morris Day and the Time headlined and Houston soul mavens The Suffers warmed up for them. It was an awesome show and thrilling to be there in costume. Truth be told, we were a bit latte pulling ourselves together, but it turned out pretty well and we had a blast doing it.
